Ar the beginning of 2009 Cristian "Pappy" Irinoiu started a new musical project.
Involved previously in successful projects as lead vocal "Pappy" was looking for a new band formula.

Initially named Fire Escape, after a longer period of search, misunderstandings and a sweet romanian tradition that pushes the musicians in several projects at the same time, after trying several solutions which proved to be unsatisfactory it was decided that it was best to change the name in Pappy & The Jam. The final formula it is still not in place but those changes brought and some good stuff: former members of the band adopted some of the Pappy & The Jam ideas for other projects.
The idea was that what was that when on the stage must have a message, a meaning, to get out of the ordinary and to present the real life in the romanian society today, where nothing is certain and nothing is as it seems to be, even if playing covers or original songs.
In our first year the band needed to be energetically "weld" . So, it started of with covers, apart from original tunes, covers from the 1990`s, 2000 and the sacred 70`s and 80`s will not be forgotten. The original songs will be brought on stage after this first step is completed, and will put in the spotlight the moral prostitution, the whores posing as pure old fashioned ladies, about lowering expectations when it comes to "value"...

We are addressing to the young audience... Young does not necessarily mean that there is an age, but also in spirit because all of those who did not allow time to put their heads in a

We`ll be in clubs (big or small), even on the street so we could pass our message through. We want to sing for you, together with you and together we will smash down the obstacles in our way: stupidity, bad taste, lack of common sense and all the other things that are attacking the society like a form of cancer...
Rock... Rock is rhythm, energy and it is a form of protest. In those days one may find it necessary to protest in order to prove that we are still here, that we are not dead but alive and kicking ass...

Rock is all about freedom!
